About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Construction Manager to join our team in Tracy, CA. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction principles and the ability to identify and coordinate tasks required to complete and prepare units for sale.
This role is a blend of Project Manager and Superintendent responsibilities. While there are no direct reports, you will work closely with specialty teams (electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure all units are finalized efficiently and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess each unit to determine what is needed for completion and readiness for sale (e.g., electrical, plumbing, finishes).
- Collaborate with specialty contractors and coordinate tasks to address identified needs.
- Oversee progress to ensure units are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Provide clear direction and communicate effectively with the team to achieve project goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ensuring units are ready to go "over the finish line."
- Identify and address any issues or roadblocks that may delay project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of construction principles and unit closeout processes.
- Experience managing projects or working in a superintendent-style capacity within the construction industry.
- Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to assess needs, make decisions, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with specialty teams and supervisors.
